Test transactions are generated by Araxxe robots with SIM cards of multiple test operators and received by Araxxe robots with SIM cards of multiple test operators.
Correct Call Line Identifier (CLI) format: calls delivered in accordance with E.164 format
Country-to-country Infection Rates (indicated with a red percentage and displayed in the pie charts) are the metered percentage of calls from one originating country to a terminating country that have a CLI which is not the originating CLI.
The Regional Infection Rate indicates the average of the Infection Rates from each country in the zone of the map to a basket of foreign countries located in and out the zone.
A CLI modification is evidence of bypass fraud or of technical routing error. It impacts wholesale margins and customer experience.
For readability reasons, each infographic displays only a selection of the originating countries and terminating countries monitored by Araxxe radar.
Worldwide radar data is Araxxe property. Metering was performed with proprietary method and systems patented by Araxxe. Data has been created by testing with resources independently procured and tested by Araxxe.

Issues found by Araxxe

  • Blank CLI: means that the call completed with no CLI present. This is a sign that the call terminated fraudulently.
  • Prefix Issue: means the call completed with additional digits added to the ‘A’ party CLI. This is often a sign of a technical issue in the handover of the call between carriers. As a result of this issue, it is often impossible for the ‘B’ party to determine who is calling or to call the ‘B’ party back.
  • Spoofed CLI:  means that the call completed with a different CLI than the one used to originate the call. This is often a local number from the home country of the ‘B’ party and signifies that the call terminated via bypass.
